As you might guess I spent some time in cafes. There tv's are Always 🙉 way to loud, so people (Always) start shouting to make themselfs heard. And so do their neighbours, and there neighbours. It are always the men since they visit large groups, for football and for cervezas. In fact they don't even notice if there is no noise sometimes.
Hearing damage develops slowly, steadily but surely, and it can not be repaired.
Grandpa, why are you yelling at me?
